Abstract


The grand international Mega-events such as international sports events and culture events always had comprehensive and further impact on the host countries and cities.The Olympic Games are typical Mega-events.The 29th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing and it will have great positive impact on the development of Beijing tourism industry,and the positive impact will be continue.Firstly,the paper summarizes the positive and negative effect that the previous Olympic Games to the host cities by means of literature.Secondly,the paper uses scenario analysis to forecast the effect 2008 Olympic Games may have on tourism industry of Beijing simply. Then the paper analyzes the exterior environment of Beijing tourism industry and puts forward 2008 Beijing Olympic Games will upgrade Beijing tourism industry.Finally,the paper brings forward some advice and countermeasures for government and enterprises in order to fully utilize 2008 Olympic Games to improve Beijing tourism industry.On the basis of analysis,the paper draws the following conclusions:1)As typical Mega-event,the Olympic Games have notable effect on tourism industry of the host countries and cities.Generally speaking,the previous Olympic Games claimed that negative effect was largely surpassed by positive effect.2)2008 Beijing Olympic Games will effect upon Beijing tourism industry positively. Since Beijing was granted to undertake 2008 Olympic Games,the positive effect of 2008 Olympic Games is already obvious in tourism resources and tourism visualization and so on.By analyzing and forecasting,the perspective of Beijing tourism is prosperous during and after 2008 Olympic Games.3)2008 Olympic Games will provide promotion effect upon the upgrading of Beijing tourism industry.4)2008 Olympic Games will have lasting effect upon Beijing tourism industry.In order to succeed in 2008 Olympic tourism,the government and enterprises should take available measures to enlarge the positive effect.
