Abstract


The environment they inhabit is related to personal interests of the broad masses of the people. In building the new countryside, it is important to implement“cleanliness of villages, beautification of the environment”to improve production and living environment of countryside and thus quality of life of villagers.Rural landscapes for people, has plain natural beauty,and it keeps the most direct and close contact with the daily life of people. However, as industrialization and urbanization process and economic development are continuously accelerating, rural areas are also witnessing an unprecedented change in China. People gradually attach importance to researching and developing the rural landscapes, and planning and establishment of the rural landscapes undergo its increased importance. The ways to reasonably plan and design the rural landscapes based on protection over natural environment and respect on traditional regional cultures according to features and functions of the rural landscapes to achieve social harmony in rural areas, and sustainable development of rural economy and society, are now urgent challenges to study in the building of a new countryside.The paper, taking Zhangzhou city in the south of Fujian Province as an example, discusses the planning and design of the rural landscapes primarily. Relevant definitions such as planning and design of rural landscapes are firstly defined. Combined with relevant theories, the paper studies landscape constitutions and landscape features in rural areas of the south of Fujian Province; Secondly, onsite visit and investigation, combined with current situation of new countryside in Zhangzhou, summarize advantages of planning and establishing landscapes and propose problems found in practices. Finally, planning and design actions of rural landscapes applicable to actual situation in Zhangzhou are deeply analyzed. Here, planning and design of environmental landscapes in Zhangkeng Village is taken as an example to give specific research, in hope that the paper can summarize a referential scheme for design and planning and offer certain reference for building rural landscapes in the south of Fujian Province.The innovation of this article was explored for the following two aspects, and had been made some progress. First, through the field research and data analysis, summarized the effectiveness and the main problems of the landscape construction of new rural in Zhangzhou city at present. Secondly, analysised and researched systematically on rural landscape planning and design and construction in Zhangzhou City, preliminary made about Zhangzhou City on rural landscape planning and design principles, objectives and guiding ideology, etc. And discussion the rural landscape planning and design measures which can fit the actual situation of the Zhangzhou city.
