Edg (endothelial differentiation gene) family of receptors belong to the G protein-coupled receptor subfamily , mediated S1P ( sphingosine of phosphatidic acid , sphingosine-1-phosphate) and LPA ( lysophosphatidic acid , sysophosphatidic acid ) signals involved in cell proliferation , migration , differentiation , cell activity regulating cytoskeletal reorganization and apoptosis , play a role in the physiological and pathological processes in the vascular and neurological development , reproduction, transplantation, immune , damage repair, oncology and autoimmune diseases . It has been found in humans and mice eight Edg receptor family , based on their ligand binding molecules divided the S1P subfamily ( S1p1/Edg1 , S1p2/Edg5/H218/AGR16 S1p3/Edg3 S1p4/Edg6 and S1p5/Edg8) and LPA subfamilies (Lpa1/Edg2/VZG-1, Lpa2/Edg4 and Lpa3/Edg7 ) , Although named vascular endothelial differentiation gene , but in addition to mice has confirmed S1p1 involved in vascular developmentally regulated , the specific role of the other members of this family in the vascular system is not clear , in species other than mice lacking data. Edg receptor family further explore the biological function , we use chicken as a research model . The chicken has drawn to facilitate the observation and operation , short experimental period , the economic entity fees . We use in silico cloning method derived chicken Edg receptor family of six members (S1p1, S1p3, S1p, Lpa1, Lpa2 and Lpa3) contains a complete open reading frame ( open reading frame , ORF ) cDNA sequence from five amplified all the deduced cDNA sequence of the day-old chick embryo . Edg receptor family members expression in chicken embryos using in situ hybridization method analysis , our results show that : in chicken embryos S1p1 S1p3 and Lpa1 restrictive expression patterns , S1p4, Lpa2 and Lpa3 expression was weak or widely expressed ; developing blood vessels, heart , brain , gill arches , somites , eye , limb bud tissues and organs express more Edg receptor family members ; compare and mouse Edg family of receptors in the chicken and small some differences in the expression of mouse embryonic development . The results of this research for the chicken as a model to study the function of the Edg family of receptors and further positive data comparing their features in different species .
