Abstract


In recent years, with the fast development of China’s social economy and the speeding process of urbanization, in particular the rapid development of real estate industry and the sharp increase of investment in infrastructure, China’s construction industry are advancing due to that. However, with the continuous extension of the size of construction market, as well as the growing fierce competition on the market, the issue of integrity plagues on the market and some of them are very prominent. These problems include not only its own problems on integrity within the construction industries, but also related to the issue of some of the other construction units, such as the owner of the project, the design unit, the construction supervision unit and material suppliers and so on. These problems disturb the normal order of the construction markets, hamper the sustained development of the construction industry, and damage the stable and healthy development of social economy and the peace and harmony of our society. In terms of construction industries, these problems stand in the way of their own development.When competing against other enterprises and in the process of its own development, CJ Company needs, on one hand, to enhance its integrity, and on the other hand, to better its management on integrity issue, thus to reduce or avoid influence of the integrity issue on enterprise’s development, by doing so to increase the core competence of the enterprise.Proceeding from the theory of core competence and integrity, on the basis of studying characteristics and contents of core competence and integrity, the paper analyses the importance of an enterprise’s integrity on its market and studies the role of core competence. After that, taking the CJ Construction Enterprise as an example, on the basis of analyzing its issue of integrity in its internal and external departments as well as the reasons causing these problems, it discusses the building of system of integrity on the enterprise’s external construction markets and proposes the main measures we should take in the course of strengthening its core competence through practice of the concept of integrity.The paper is of great guiding meaning and value to refer to for some small and medium sized construction enterprises in the following areas:such as further understanding of the concept of integrity, building up the theory of integrity, strengthening management on honesty, raising its core competence and maintaining sustained competitive advantages through practice of the concept of integrity, as well as helping build the system of integrity on current construction markets.
