With the improvement of the frame rate, resolution, dynamic range and sensitive of camera, the motion vision technology, for tracking high-speed object and measuring motion parameter, is widely used. In order to improve measurement accuracy, methods of high resolution, high frame rate and much vision pot are used in image capturing. It brings issue of high image transmitting bandwidth and big storage space. The Hardware & Software architecture of capturing system encounter strict challenge against image data transmission and processing in real time.The dual-camera high-speed synchronous capturing system based on Gigabit Ethernet is designed in order to resolve the issue of high-speed image capturing in real-time and remote distance transmitting.Gigabit Ethernet has high bandwidth and long transmission distance, so it is adopted as the transmitting bus and is built as the hardware flat of high-speed synchronous real-time image capturing with existing image capturing hardware.In order to make two cameras capture image at the same time, we designed and developed a synchronous trigger controller, which can output multi-channel signal to trigger multiple cameras simultaneously.In software design, we had a second development with the IFC class library provided by the image capturing card and VC++6.0 as a development tool.The procedure of capturing, transmitting, display, and storage, is programmed. Based on client/server distributed technology, we build network of the image capturing system structure so that all functional modules have plug-and-play features.The image capturing system can capture image up to 150 fps in the CA-D6’s most resolution and display and transmit and process data and are collocated quickly at many pots in large scale. It satisfies the request of designing and can be used in the fields of image supervision, multimedia application, sports analysis, which requires to capture , transmitt and analyze a great deal of image data in real time.
