Abstract


Liang shuming was one of the most famous scholars, thinkers, philosophers and social actors in 20th century in China. What he concerned about in his life were two problems: ’life problem’ and ’social problem’. At in previous studies of Liang shuming as a philosophy thinker seem widely to know, but aspects of its political philosophy have rarely involved in a long time.Liang approached the above from two perspectives: the ontological meaning of politic culture and its historical manifestations. He not only expounded the demerits of Chinese traditional culture which were manifested in the historical development of the society by regarding the culture as the origin of the demerits, but also based on the view that the ontology of a nation’s culture is not discardable, made profound exploration of the core of Chinese political culture and the ideological implications which were entailed in the structure of China’s social organization-including the social relations and the ruling systems, to show what is typical of Chinese traditional culture and social structure and its relation with the culture of the world, and to promote it to the height that it represents the orientation and future of human culture. Liang’s efforts on this aspect made his view far-reaching and insightful which surpassed those of his contemporaries. His innovative approach, as well as his comprehensive grasp of the social structure of the country, is an important instruction for us to learn about the traditional social structure of the country and its complicated phenomena of the present day. His theory offers us a vantage point to observe the society effectively. In answer to the demand from the present development of the country and in connection with such a social history, this study made the following interpretations on Liang’s research.This paper starts from Liang shuming’s political personality, the comprehension about civilization and society of China and the Western, the practice of the transformation of the political reality and ways to solve the problem of China and so on to explain his political philosophy. In this paper, we try base on his idea of his political philosophy and political philosophy as a logic point: firstly, through the longitudinal study and character analysis to research Liang individuals the track of the evolution of his though; secondly focused on academic thought of him as well as the content and value of heritage; thirdly through analyzing the modern values of the country construction ideology put forward to his idea of democracy, constitutional government, political parties and so on. In a word, what he thought is valuable in our solving relationship of Chinese and foreign culture, tradition and modernization. I hope to master the theory on a deeper level and analyze its modern values so that we can take advantages of it in our country’s modernization construction. As what Aikai said: "What he brought forward is indeed along-term blueprint to the development of China. "
