In 2000,Xi’an Highway University,Xi’an Engineering College,Northwest Civil Engineering and Architectureat College mergered and formed today’s Chang’An University.By now,it has BenBu,XiaoZhai,YanTa,WeiShui,TaiBai five campuses.The five campus geographically distribute in Xi’an hundred kilometers,this inconveniences make a lot problem for the fresh students,teachers and the staff who come to school for work or study.In order to solve this problem,we have decided to develop a Chang’an University Electronic Navigation System based on B / S structure.The author had held on development of benbu Geographical Scope System.This paper introduces the relevant technical and research results.First,the system had studied CoreDraw generating SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) map deeply.Proposed and achieved the ideas that generating SVG maps through algorithm.That is,on the CoreDraw platform,through the bitmap(BMP) reconstruction,SVG format export, re-processing documents and other correlation processing,converted bitmap images to SVG graphics;On the basis of bitmap images pre-processing,through the corner detection,edge detection algorithms,the order processing of points and SVG file generation module processing,transformed bitmap into SVG graphics.SVG conversion of image files is only the memory of the original BMP file of about 0.6 times,greatly reducing the network loadSecond,had used JSP and SVG teclmology,through the DOM(Document Object Model,) tree-building algorithm,as well as achieving dynamic interactive through JavaScript technology,Designed and implemented the Chang’an University’s benbu Campus electronic navigation.The system has the functions such as to find the campus district,fuzzy queries,graphics scaling,translation and display search results animation.The system had achieved the goal that searching all classrooms,offices,laboratories,sports venues and amusement buildings in BenBu accurately.That helps the students,teachers,staff and people who concerned about Chang’an University on Internet.And also provides a platform for Chang’an University to be known to more people.In addition,Some results of this system had been participated in the "Chang’an University Students software Design Competition",and won the first prize,which also affirmed our work from one aspect.
