The Bank of England is established in 1694. Although nearly 40 years later than the Bank of Sweden which was established in 1656,in fact, it is the first bank with full implementation of the central bank functions in the world. Therefore, it is considered as the originator of the central Bank. The Bank of England was not the British central bank with modern sense at the beginning of its establishment. During the end of the 17th century and the early 18th century, the Bank of England was only an ordinary private joint-stock bank.
