Abstract


With the deepening of economic development and globalization , the largest metropolitan area in our country is growing mature, become the most important one of the largest metropolitan area in the Yangtze River Delta region . Large metropolitan area to maintain the momentum of sustainable development in the fierce competition in the international and domestic success , it can not be separated from the perfect structure system . Mega-cities , big cities , small and medium-sized cities in size to adapt to each other , to be proportionate in number , to be coordinated in the division of labor , etc. , at the same time to strengthen cooperation in the social and cultural undertakings , transport infrastructure , public health , environmental protection , in order to maintain the healthy development of a large metropolitan area . The structure of the metropolitan area is not static . With the deepening of economic development and globalization , as well as the change of policy factors , the structural system of the metropolitan area continues to change . Understanding of the system development in the Yangtze River Delta cities since the reform and opening up , grasp the pattern of changes in the system of the Yangtze River Delta cities , is very important . However, Chinese scholars on the evolution of the Yangtze River Delta is dynamic . In this paper, along this line of thought , expand around the Yangtze River Delta city system and its internal mechanism of evolution . In this paper, the first cities and urban level theoretical perspectives to describe the system of the Yangtze River Delta cities , the order bit - scale model to investigate the changes in the pattern of the Yangtze River Delta cities .
