With China's rapid economic development , a growing amount of traffic on the existing highway , highway in built soon decreased service levels , relying solely on the new highway , and can not effectively alleviate the problem of inadequate highway capacity , therefore, highway expansion , expansion increasingly prominent problem . The renovation and expansion of the road tend to make the original highway bridge loading standards improve , the need to reinforce and widen the existing bridge to meet the traffic demand . The widening of the highway bridges often determines the basic principles and technical standards for road widening , therefore , extremely important to broaden the choice of the way to the old bridge . Widen the bridge rebuilt , new , old bridges and their middle stitching parts in addition to the structure weight, two dead load , the basis of differential settlement , creep deformation of concrete beams , the car load will have additional internal forces . Therefore, in compliance with practical , economic, security , and aesthetic principles , broaden around the old and new bridges force analysis is extremely important . In this thesis , the actual project a simply supported box girder bridge , for example , combined bridge to broaden the type and splicing of bridge widening classified summary of a real bridge model using finite element analysis software Midas , for the old and new bridges different splicing analysis to broaden the the load lateral distribution law and internal forces of horizontal distribution law of , calculation and analysis of the old and the new bridge foundation settlement differences in the structure of the old and the new bridge and its connecting surface before and after the calculation and analysis of the age of the old and the new bridge concrete shrinkage , creep differences between the old and new main beam and its connecting surface . Provide a useful reference for the renovation and expansion of small and medium- span beam bridge design .
