Throughout the whole country, recently new town planning development becomes a kind of‘upsurge’. However, behind this‘upsurge’, it still hided a number of problems, which we need to put our eyes on. The biggest issue is how to constitute sustainable eco-seaside new town. Consequently, it needs us to explore a new standard to develop the new town planning more efficient and reasonable.New Town planning is an important method to implement economy, society and nature environment. The origin target is through the land and space reasonable scheme to develop a feasible living environment. In addition, living environment is based on implementing sustainability of urban system, which means ecological balance. Therefore, eye on sustainable environment is the key point to guide the new town planning design through the conservation and utilization. Moreover, the decision of the construction in the eco-system is also promote and control relationship of the development and the nature environment of the new town. In order to implement the urban sustainability, it construct on the homeostasis of the urban eco-system.Although all the seaside new towns have their own character, because of commonness, it is possible to research for urban planning strategy in the seaside new town. The location of the seaside is very special, and it also has advantages of the nature resource. The proposed planning design of the seaside new town has several targets. Firstly, it is an ideal place of living environment. Secondly, it emphasizes the harmonious development of human being and nature eco-environment. And it also needs to coordinate conservation and development. Finally, it integrates nature eco-environment conservation in seaside region and social and economic through the construction development, in order to ensure the future benefit of the urban development.In this article, eye on sustainable development, to survey the seaside new town in nowadays, through the analysis of several case studies, which sum up the experience and disadvantages. Synthesize the knowledge of urban planning, architecture, ecology, society, geography, economy, landscape, living environment, to explore‘sustainability’planning design strategy in the eco-seaside new town. Furthermore, it also needs to implement efficiently in traditional planning method, planning principle, planning target, planning technology and planning course, in the same time, provide a reasonable planning design strategy.
