Abstract


The inside-diameter measurement of artillery chamber is an important part of the artillery testing. It has an important place in the process of artillery manufacturing and the maintenance after daily use.Thinking of the problems of low precision and low efficiency in the traditional inside-diameter measurement system of artillery chamber, a new high precision system was designed in this paper. The system has many strongpoints, such as high degree of antomation, high precision, high efficiency and convenient. The stepping motor is used as the power unit in this system, and the carrier - Smart Pig which is drived by special designed equipment can work steadily in the chamber. The contact measurement is employed in the system, and an inductive displacement transducer is used to measure the inside-diameter. The rifling is measured by a sensors which is controlled by a designed positioning equipment, while the range of measuring equipment was controled by a regulating equipment. Aaxial position of the radial measurong sensors is measured by radial measuring equipment. The body of Smart Pig can be used to support and connect every devices.The system software is compiled with LabVIEW. And the control of each part is carried out with the flexible controling function of LabView. And with the use of dummy panel which can simulate the actual operating panel to complete the communication between man and machine. Sensor’s static demarcation is completed with the demarcating program, and the zero-position fixing and the linear coefficient are completed with the demarcating program, too. The measurement of appointed section is carried out with the testing program. And the saving and printing program can save the datum in EXCEL in order to keep in the archives and be referred to by users.And from the actual measuring expetiment, we can see that the techno- target has met with the system designing purpose. The system also can meet the actual measuring demands,too.
