Abstract


Speech act of commitment is a linguistic phenomenon common in human language communication , especially in the exchange of adults and children . But we also understand how children understand speech act of commitment as well as children primitives with knowledge of how to develop very little . Experimental language based on the development of psycholinguistics orientation , research methods, this is still very limited , only experimental study of native English and French children . In this paper, experimental language science research methods based on Austin 's speech act theory Searl conditions of the the commitment speech act definition ready and sincere condition as independent variables with knowledge of research , by the end of the story additional testing and primitives 630 3 -year-old , 6 -year-old , 9-year-old , three groups of children were cross-sectional study to investigate Chinese children's understanding of the speech act of commitment and metapragmatic knowledge . In this study, a the SPSS GLM single dependent variable three - way ANOVA analysis and paired samples T-test and other statistical analysis methods are supplemented on the end of the story selection results and primitives with knowledge classification results of statistical analysis , the following conclusions : ( 1 ) prepare to meet the conditions and sincere help children understand the commitment speech act ; relative to preparing the conditions , children grasp sincere conditions sooner , six-year-old children have been substantially fully grasp sincere prepare conditions fully grasp the completion was delayed until the age of nine ; -year-old and six-year-old children encounter the conditions are not met to prepare for the judgment of commitment sometimes depends on the commitment behavior or not . ( 2 ) Children's commitment speech act primitives and rich with the growth of the knowledge age : children three years old and has already begun to prepare the basis of the conditions and sincere speech act as judge promises , although a small number ; -year-old children's yuan Pragmatic Competence Speaking of commitment to the completion of the behavior ; -year-old children is more Speaking ready condition and in good faith to meet the conditions ; -year-old and nine-year-old children , especially the nine-year-old children , preparing the conditions is not satisfied can promote children Speaking sincerely conditions the children sincerely conditions is not satisfied can promote emphasis on the preparation conditions .
