Abstract


The term loan word, also known as foreign word, is word absorbed from other languages, which plays an important role on enrichment and development of a nation’s language. By discussing loan word, we can not only know the development history of an ethnic language, know how the nation’s culture shape, but also know the exchange history among this nation and other nations. Therefore, it can be said that studying loan word has the significance in linguistics as well as in sociology and history.This issue, by using the method of sociolinguistics combined with language survey, investigates Chinese loan word in Kazakh. Meanwhile, the paper also makes a classification on them and elaborates Chinese loan word’s impact in Kazakh on Kazakh pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.The full text as following:Preface mainly introduces the status quo of Chinese loan word in Kazakh, Kazakh, the overview of Kazakh language and letter as well as the significance and methods studying Chinese loan word in Kazakh .The first chapter recounts the sources of Chinese loan word in Kazakh, the definition of loan word, its identification methods, the cause of its production as well as the contact history between Kazak and Han word. Chapter Two comes to the subject to introduce the way of borrowing of Chinese loan word in Kazakh, and to make classification on that in terms of different criteria.Chapter Three exemplifies the Chinese loan word’s influence on Kazakh pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar with the method of theory and practice.Chapter Four elaborates the Chinese loan word’s development in Kazakh.The auther’s insights in this article:This article’s innovation lies in making a variety of different categories on Chinese loan word in Kazahk in accordince with different standards as well as exempifying Chinese loan word’s impact on Kazahk’s pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar basing on the theoretical and practical investigation.
