Abstract


This paper analyzes the Bertolt Brecht 's narrative drama \Defamiliarization effect through the application of the plot and the characters to achieve tragic . The main use of this method of analysis within the text , through the theme , plot and characterization analysis reveals the tragic drama . Brecht mainly through the means history reveals the disastrous war , with the open end and means of such a strange dialectic , from the plot unfold and characterization of both to create a tragic results. Brecht's epic theater theory with its strange means of the drama were deliberately designed to prevent the audience with the characters and the plot of the resonance, so as to awaken the audience's initiative to make it more clear understanding of reality , and further thinking in real life tragedy.
