Abstract


John Locke (John Locke) and Immanuel Kant (Immanuel Kant) is undoubtedly the two shining star in the sky of the Modern History of Western Philosophy. The former is an outstanding representative of the British empiricist philosophy, the latter is the founder of German classical philosophy and British Empiricism and Continental Rationalism with a summary. Worthy of our attention, the two philosophers in different countries, has a very similar philosophy of care. Similar to the philosophy of care lead to two philosophers, showing many coincides with the demonstration respective philosophical theories. Similar but not the same, the only two differences, will they be comparable value. Locke as a pioneer of modern Western history of philosophy, epistemology, focusing on the origin of knowledge, certainty, range, reality, etc., made a detailed analysis and comprehensive exposition, and the history of Western philosophy first relatively complete knowledge on the system . Kant's theory of knowledge inquiry to advance to a higher level. All in all, Kant and Locke's theory of knowledge its the same strain, but there are differences in perspectives, methods and attitudes side. Therefore, in-depth analysis the two epistemological similarities and differences will help us to grasp their philosophy, but also help to understand the \This paper attempts to make a more systematic and in-depth discussion of Locke and Kant's theory of knowledge and its similarities and differences, is divided into seven parts. In the introduction, the article reviewed the status quo of the research projects, indicating the significance of this research project. For a brief overview of the first part of the ancient and modern sense of the concept of knowledge, so as to clarify the two different view of knowledge: the body is the concept of knowledge of the object of knowledge for understanding the phenomenon of view of knowledge. The second section briefly describes the philosophy of Locke and Kant similarities and differences as well as their writings about the theory of knowledge. The third section compares Locke and Kant knowledge requirements. Locke believes that knowledge is the perception of the people on the fit between the concepts contrary; Kant knowledge of synthetic a priori judgments to express a combination of intuitive concept. The fourth part describes the two views about the origin of knowledge of the similarities and differences, both recognize the empirical origin of knowledge, Kant admitted knowledge of the empirical origin of the introduction of prior knowledge. The fifth part of the point of view both on the type and scope of knowledge. Part VI describes Locke and Kant knowledge is indeed a different way, that is, the former by the language analysis to solve the certainty of knowledge, the latter transcendental logic to solve the certainty of knowledge. Part VII described Locke and Kant in solving knowledge is really the problem on a different path, that the former is taking the path of empirical idealism, the latter to implement a \phenomenon. In conclusion, the article gave a brief summary of the similarities and differences between Locke and Kant's theory of knowledge.
