Abstract


As a newly developing Chinese artistic school, Shanghai Fine Arts Training School founded comparatively early, in modern China, the board of trustees for the supreme power organization of the institute, and used the board of trustees system as the educational management system in the Institute. This paper summarizes the historical facts that the university board of trustees system was introduced into the board of trustees of Shanghai Fine Arts Training School, systemizes entirely the structure and change of members in the board of trustees, and analyses the basic information of the board of trustees in Shanghai Artistic Institute. Furthermore, according to its function in the following three aspects: the funds collection; the generalization of art; and the "buffer" role in public relation, this paper discuss the concrete achievements of the board of trustees. Based on the historical development and the practical function of the board of trustees in Shanghai Fine Arts Training School, we hope this paper could reveal its positive significance for the development of Shanghai Fine Arts Training School and even the development of art educational career in our country.
