Abstract

The famous recluse author JD Salinger only a novel \After the novel was published in 1951 by readers, especially young readers alike. Holden Caulfield, his keen sense of youthful feelings has become synonymous with American youth sensitive. Salinger novel, describing Holden do not want to follow the crowd mediocre life, eager to child-like purity and tried to evade the despicable story of the world, but he finally understand the innocence of childhood innocence is short and perishable, he accepted the reality, and social reconciliation. Salinger caught the spirit of the characteristics of the young generation, reflecting the confusion felt by them in the adult world, revealing their desire for true love, but nowhere to be found depression, successfully describes the confusion and the inner world of World War II development of young people from simple ignorance to mature, sophisticated lonely, difficult journey.
