Abstract


Since the end of World War II , the United States in the field of international relations has been dominated , except with powerful economic , political, military base , well-developed theory of international relations is another world, its leading key to success . In the postwar bipolar structure , in order to be able to win with the Soviet hegemony , the United States eager to find the appropriate diplomatic international relations theory to guide practice , in this context, Hans Morgenthau 's realist theory emerged, the U.S. government feels refreshing and timely. Realism emphasizes anarchy of the international community should do anything to achieve national interests , to adapt to the United States after becoming a superpower need for external expansion , and thus throughout the Cold War dominated the western field of international relations theory , and as a theoretical weapon service of U.S. foreign policy decision-making and implementation. With the development of the theory of realism in international relations with other theories ( idealism , liberalism, behaviorism ) polemics constant adjustment correction , resulting in a new realism ( structural realism ) , offensive and defensive realism and neoclassical Realism and other branches , to better serve the U.S. diplomatic strategy , decision-making and external policy services. 1990 After the Cold War , the deepening interdependence among nations , increasingly close international cooperation , emphasizing the state-centered realism gaining great recession , but the spirit of realism in American foreign policy continues to play a significant impact. In this paper, Marxism \Foreign policy level and the specific impact of foreign policy to be discussed , the American diplomatic practice and realism intrinsic link between the theory to be studied for its realism theory reveals the emergence and development of mission: serving the U.S. foreign policy.
