A Preliminary Study on Serum Expression Level of IL-12 and IL-27 and Their Significances in the Patients with Allergic Rhinitis

Abstract


Objective: To accept and without immunotherapy in patients with allergic rhinitis serum IL-12 and IL-27 levels, and analysis of IL-12 and IL-27 both explore the IL-12 and IL- 27 role in the pathogenesis and treatment of allergic rhinitis. METHODS: 20 cases of the more than 2 years in patients with allergic rhinitis 20 cases for the immunotherapy group without immunotherapy in patients with allergic rhinitis receiving immunosuppressive therapy for the untreated group, 20 cases of allergic disease in healthy people control group. Age and sex among the three groups were not significantly different, two weeks before the subjects were not steroids. Signs and symptoms scores in patients with allergic rhinitis immunotherapy group and the untreated group. Three groups of serum levels of IL-12 and IL-27 were detected by ELISA. SPSS16.0 statistical software for statistical analysis. The results: 1. Scoring signs and symptoms of immune therapy group (6.95 ± 1.19) was significantly lower than the untreated group (9.80 ± 1.98) between the two was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05). Level of 2.IL-12: the untreated group of patients with allergic rhinitis, immunotherapy group and the normal control group, serum IL-12 concentration (111.82 ± 41.32pg/ml), (163.78 ± 51.76pg/ml) and ( 207.28 ± 73.90pg/ml), the allergic rhinitis two groups were significantly lower than the normal control group, no treatment group was significantly lower than the immunotherapy group was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05) between any two. Level 3.IL-27: the untreated group of patients with allergic rhinitis, immunotherapy group and the normal control group, serum IL-27 concentrations, respectively (287.72 ± 1 07.97pg/m1) (403.85 ± 155.59pg/ml) and ( 622.65 ± 237.87pg/ml), the allergic rhinitis two groups were significantly lower than the normal control group, immunotherapy serum IL-27 concentrations higher than the untreated group, pairwise comparison with statistical significance (P lt; 0.05 ). 4.IL-27 and IL-12 levels positively correlated (r = 0.343). Conclusion: IL-12 and IL-27 level in the serum of patients with allergic rhinitis was significantly lower than normal, indicating that IL-12 and IL-27 play a role in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis. 2. Improved immunotherapy signs and symptoms in patients with allergic rhinitis, serum IL-12 and IL-27 level was significantly higher than the untreated patients, may indicate that IL-12 and IL-27 in allergic rhinitis The immunomodulatory effects play immunotherapy. 3.IL-27 and IL-12 expression levels in the serum of patients with allergic rhinitis have some positive correlation, suggesting that IL-27 may in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis and IL-12 play a similar role, IL -27 may be used as a new target for the treatment of allergic rhinitis.
