Abstract

Background and Purpose Amblyopia is a sensitive period of visual development caused by abnormal visual experience of space vision (central vision, spatial orientation and contrast sensitivity) damage is characterized by a group of poor vision syndrome. Weak basic theoretical research means limitations of amblyopia research focuses on the clinical observation and analysis, epidemiological investigation, science, literature, and the past 20 years, with the breakthrough in technological development, research methods, so amblyopia psychophysical studies becoming a cognitive neuroscience frontier and hot issues. Different types of amblyopia addition to the different neural mechanisms in visual function differences This paper strabismus and anisometropic amblyopia visual function characteristics, in order to analyze the different types of amblyopia visual function defect mode exists, from The psychophysics angle to investigate the mechanism of the similarities and differences of the two types of amblyopia. Method this paper the application of psychological principles of physics, design grating visual acuity, edge contrast sensitivity, binocular fusion, contrast sensitivity function and visual function testing method on 125 patients 8-40 years of age amblyopia, visual function testing, and then experimental data were statistically analyzed use Origin8.0 software using the Pearson, Spearman, t test, linear regression analysis, analysis of grating visual acuity, edge contrast sensitivity function and visual acuity, binocular fusion and strabismic amblyopia and anisometropic amblyopia CSF curve comparison. Results 1 overall sample grating visual acuity and visual acuity correlation coefficient of 0.81, was highly correlated with the amblyopic eye with respect to the normal eye the grating visual impairment was mild in optotype vision, the two best fitting straight line with a slope of 0.55, 10% of the the strabismic amblyopia sample scatter plot distribution of approximately less than the overall trend; overall sample edge contrast sensitivity and visual acuity correlation coefficient of 0.33 was low. When the the optotype significantly impaired vision, edge contrast sensitivity only mild damage (slope = 0.26). Distribution of the anisometropic sample contrast sensitivity threshold is higher than about (or worse than) 12% of the overall trend, contrast sensitivity threshold of strabismus and mixed amblyopia sample distribution of about less than (or better than) the overall trend CSF flattening%; two types amblyopia CSF curve compared to relatively healthy eye, the peak is shifted to the low spatial frequency region, was significantly impaired in the high spatial frequency region, and no significant difference, but in the low frequency region, both statistically significant; 4 in the case of the same grating visual impairment optotype vision binocular function group with binocular vision group pairwise comparisons, significant differences (P lt; 0.01) that binocular vision optotype vision superior binocular vision optotype vision. Conclusion two different types of amblyopia the existence of different visual defects.
