Abstract


Objective : To observe the exogenous single sialic four hexose ganglioside (monosialoganglioside, GM1) treatment of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, HIE) before and after treatment the clinical efficacy and TNF-α and IL-6 the changes of GM1 and TNF-α and IL-6 changes the correlation for comprehensive evaluation of cerebral protection GM1 provide further clinical and theoretical basis . METHODS: A hospital neonatal hospital 60 cases with moderate HIE were randomly divided into GM1 group and control group 30 cases . Two groups of children were with conventional therapy , on this basis , the families informed consent , GM1 group with a single sialic four hexose ganglioside (GM1) 20mg 5% glucose injection 20ml intravenous infusion, a second / d. The control group were treated with citicoline 0.125g 5% glucose injection 20ml intravenous infusion, 1 times / d. Both groups were on the first day after admission, medication, treatment lasted 7d. Two groups of children before treatment , underwent neonatal neurobehavioral (NBNA) score, and on the first day , the first eight days by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection of serum TNF-α and IL-6 concentrations. Before and after treatment were observed in children with clinical efficacy and NBNA score and serum TNF-α and IL-6 concentration changes. Results : GM1 group was significantly higher (P lt; 0.05). NBNA score GM1 group after treatment compared with the control group was significantly higher (P lt; 0.05). GM1 group consciousness recovery time after treatment , muscle tone recovery time and recovery time of primitive reflexes shorter than in the control group (P lt; 0.05). GM1 group after treatment serum TNF-α, IL-6 significantly decreased compared with the control group, the difference was significant (P lt; 0.05). TNF-α was negatively correlated with NBNA score (r = -0.136, P lt; 0.05), IL-6 and NBNA score is also a negative correlation (r = -0.108, P lt; 0.05). Conclusion : 1.GM1 treatment of HIE recent clinical efficacy superior to citicoline ; 2.GM1 HIE may inhibit serum TNF-α, IL-6 levels , thereby reducing brain damage ; 3 . Serum TNF-α, IL-6 can be used as reference HIE biochemical indicators of clinical outcome .
