Abstract

Objective To some cities in Shanxi Province diabetes and metabolic syndrome and its influencing factors, for the province of diabetes and metabolic syndrome prevention and control work to make reasonable suggestions. A cross-sectional and case-control study, survey the province three counties (Taiyuan, shenchi County, Wuzhai County) 11 in a residential area of ??the population of 3586 people over the age of 20, male 1312, accounting for 36.59%, female 2274 people, accounting for 63.41%. The survey included a questionnaire, physical examination and related metabolic indicators. All survey data, back-to-back double entry by univariate and multiple linear regression and logistic regression analysis, and analysis of the entire process of using SPSS16.0 statistical software. Results (1) Shanxi Province, the prevalence of diabetes in people over the age of 20 is about 6.3%, about 3.4% prevalence of metabolic syndrome. (2) Analysis of diabetes risk factors visible, multiple linear regression analysis showed that fasting glucose, waist-hip ratio, triglycerides, body mass index, age, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and other factors important factors affect blood sugar levels, the regression equation inspection, F = 74.78, P LT; 0.001. Standardized partial regression coefficient can be seen, the effect of fasting blood glucose descending order of age, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, waist-to-hip ratio, triglycerides, and body mass index. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed: age, WHR, SBP, DM family history, TG five factors related to the prevalence of DM. DM dangerous to TG greatest impact, OR = 4.233,95.0% CI 3.125-6.453, prompt TG abnormal, the the DM prevalence possibility is the control group of 4.233 times. Second, family history of DM, OR = 3.119,95.0% CI 2.574-7.327; WHR, OR = 2.763,95.0% CI 1.324-5.359: age, OR = 1.536,95.0% CI 1.011-2.507; of SBP, OR = 1.456,95.0% CI 1.346-1.909. (3) Logistic regression analysis of the impact of metabolic syndrome: age (OR = 1.362,95.% CI 1.036-2.158), DM family history (OR = 2.749,95.0% CI 2.164-5.274), drinking ( OR = 1.382,95.% CI 1.374-1.995), physical activity (OR = 0.275,95.% CI for 0.116-0.371) four factors associated with the metabolic syndrome. Including age, DM, family history of MS risk factors (OR gt; 1), physical activity, drinking the MS protective factors (OR lt; 1). Conclusions (1) Shanxi Province, the prevalence of diabetes (6.3%) is lower than the national average (11%), published in November 2008, the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (3.4%) less than the latest in March 2009, the National average (13.9%), and in old age is a key target of the prevention and treatment of DM and MS. (2) living habits (smoking, alcohol consumption, diet, physical activity), physical condition (obesity, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, impaired glucose tolerance), survival condition (educational level, living conditions, type of occupation) and other factors diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Larger impact factors of DM: age, WHR, SBP, DM family history, TG five factors are risk factors and impact on MS larger factors: age, DM, family history, alcohol consumption, physical activity. Including: age, DM, family history, alcohol consumption is a risk factor for physical activity as a protective factor. Recommended that health education should carry out extensive public health and promoting a healthy lifestyle, intensify crowd intervention truly implemented reduce diabetes and metabolic syndrome comprehensive measures to provide a reference to improve the quality of residents' health.
