Abstract

Background Irritable bowel syndrome (Irritable Bowel Syndrome, IBS) is a functional bowel disorder of an abdominal pain or discomfort associated with defecation habits, traits change characterized. IBS patients with longer duration, symptoms persist or repeated seizures, patients often repeated treatment, affecting the quality of life. But the disease lack interpretable symptoms morphological changes and biochemical abnormalities. The etiology and pathogenesis of IBS is not fully understood, and is generally believed that the spirit, diet, gastrointestinal motility disorders, intestinal flora and intestinal sensitivity enhancement factors [1]. Helicobacter pylori (Helicobacter Pylori, HP) is a kind of colonization in the gastric mucosa and can cause damage to the gastric mucosa gram-negative spiral-shaped pathogenic bacteria [2]. It is one of the causes of irritable bowel syndrome, no clear conclusion, this paper conducted a preliminary study on this issue. Whether the occurrence of irritable bowel syndrome with Helicobacter pylori infection has relevance. Objective To study the relationship of irritable bowel syndrome and infection of Helicobacter pylori (HP). Selected medical records: Department of Gastroenterology, the number of patients randomly selected from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, March 2007 - March 2009 inpatient and outpatient a total of 373 cases. Male 184, female 189 cases, with an average age of 46.3 years old. All cases were patients with gastroduodenal diseases and the gastroscope, HP examination results. 2 Methods: A HP diagnosis: 14C or 13C breath test method or the urease test method detection of Helicobacter pylori; B, IBS diagnosis: IBS the Rome Ⅲ standard diagnostic IBS, intestinal symptoms underwent colonoscopy. C, HP eradication and evaluate the treatment methods: HP eradication PPI Weisanlian, the course of one week; after stopping a 13C or 14C breath test review HP negative eradicate the success; D, IBS symptoms standards: abdominal pain, diarrhea bloating disappeared, normal stool as IBS symptoms. , Grouping the experimental group: Helicobacter pylori infection were 267 cases; control group: Helicobacter pylori infection-negative cases, 106 cases; treatment group: HP eradication of the success of the 18 cases, seven cases is not successful. 4, IBS diagnosis: meet the IBS Rome Ⅲ criteria and no the abnormal total of 133 cases by colonoscopy, constipation-predominant (IBS-C) 36 Li of the experimental group, diarrhea-predominant (IBS-D) 41 cases, mixed type (of IBS- M) 18 cases of atypical (IBS-U) 10 cases. Control group: constipation-predominant (IBS-C) 8 cases, diarrhea-predominant (IBS-D) 11, mixed type (IBS-M) in 6 cases, not stereotypes (IBS-U) 3 cases. Statistical analysis: A, the incidence of irritable bowel syndrome in the experimental group and the control group were calculated and analyzed statistically. B. were calculated irritable bowel syndrome patients with diarrhea, constipation, mixed type, patients with atypical incidence of H. pylori infection positive. C, analysis the HP eradication of successful patients with eradication losers IBS symptom relief rate differences. Results of an experimental and control groups in the incidence of IBS HP infection positive in 267 cases, the diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome in 105 patients, IBS incidence rate of 39.3%; 106 cases of HP infection negative, the diagnosis of irritable bowel integrated levy of 28 patients, IBS incidence rate of 26.4%; IBS incidence rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P lt; 0.05). HP infections with IBS typing 2.1 experimental group IBS Group IBS-D total of 41 patients, the incidence rate of 39.1%; IBS group in the control group, IBS-D in 11 patients, the incidence rate of 39.2%; morbidity differences of the two groups of IBS-D sex (P gt; 0.05) 2.2 experimental group IBS group a total of 36 patients with IBS-C, the incidence rate of 34.3%; IBS group in the control group, IBS-C patients eight cases, the incidence rate of 28.5%; incidence rate of two groups of IBS-C was no significant difference in sex (P gt; 0.05) 2.3 experimental group IBS Group IBS-M in a total of 18 patients, the incidence rate of 17.2%; controls Group IBS Group, IBS-M 6 patients, the incidence rate of 21.4%; IBS-M of the two groups the incidence was no significant difference in sex (P gt; 0.05) 2.4 IBS group, the experimental group stereotypes (IBS-U ) A total of 10 patients, the incidence rate of 9.4%; amorphous (IBS-U) a total of three cases in patients with IBS group in the control group, the incidence rate of 10.9%; incidence rate of two groups of IBS-U was no significant difference ( P gt; 0.05) after the HP eradication IBS treatment effect: HP eradication success of 18 cases, IBS symptoms 14 cases, the response rate was 77.8%; HP eradication failure seven cases, IBS symptoms three cases, the response rate was 42.8% ; the HP eradication success in patients with IBS the remission rate eradicate loser was no significant difference (P gt; 0.05). Conclusions There is a direct correlation between H. pylori infection and the incidence of irritable bowel syndrome. Helicobacter pylori infection with IBS typing not directly related. 3. HP positive group and the HP negative groups IBS are diarrhea-constipation-based HP eradication can not improve IBS symptom relief rate
