Abstract


Objective To study the influence of nasal glucocorticoid inhalation on allergic rhinitis complicated with asthma.To exploring the effect of budesonide in allergic rhinitis on asthmatic symptom and variation of lung function.Methods 63 cases of outpatients suffered from allergic rhinitis comolicated with bronchial asthma were investigated in clinical method.They were divided into the budesonide group(30 cases) and control group(33cases) randomly.All the people inhaled routine asthmatic medicine regularly.The budesonide group add nasal budesonide inhalation.Two groups were observed for 12 weeks.After 12 weeks,they were observed again from the symptom of asthma and the variation of lung function.Results There were statistical difference in the symptom of asthma and the variation of lung function between the pre- group and the post- treatment group(both <0.05).There were statistical difference in the symptom of asthma and the variation of the lung function between the budesonide group and the contronl group after 12 weeks.However there were no statistical difference between the two groups at the begin of the treatment ( P>0.05).Conclusions Allergic rhnitis is a risk factor in the attack of asthma.Nasal inhalation of budesonidecan improve the asthmatic symptoms and pulmonary function for patients with allergic rhinitis complicated by airway resistance or asthma.
