ObjectiveThis study is to evaluate the effection of fetal heart function in pregnancy- induced hypertension (PIH) by pulsed wave and tissue Doppler imaging.MethodsSixty patients with PIH (≥thirty weeks, thirty cases, PIH<thirty weeks, thirty cases) and sixty pregnant women (≥thirty weeks, thirty person, <thirty weeks, thirty person) were enrolled. From four-chamber view, peak velocity of the early diastolic (E) and peak velocity of the late diastolic (A) were measured at the mitral and tricuspid by pulsed wave (PW), the E/A ratio was calculation. From four-chamber view, ventricular myocardial velocities included systolic myo- cardial velocity (Sm), early diastolic myocardial velocity (Em) and late diastolic myocardial velocity (Am) were measured at the basal pans of the left ventricular lateral wall (LV),right ventricular lateral wall (RV) and interventricular septum (IVS) by tissue Doppler imaging (TDI).The Em/Am ratio is calculation and statistical analysis and treatment.ResultsThe Em, Am and Sm of LV, RV were increased with the gestational week in normal fetuses. The Em, Am and Sm of RV were higher than those of LV, IVS in normal fetuses. In≥thirty gestational weeks, the Em of RV in PIH fetuses were lower than normal fetuses and the Em of LV, IVS were increased and the difference had no significance (P>0.05). The Am of LV, RV, IVS were increased and the Em/Am were decreased and the difference had significance (P<0.01). In <thirty gestational weeks, the Em of LV, RV in PIH fetuses were lower than normal fetuses, the Am were increased and the Em/Am decreased and the difference had significance (P<0.05). In≥thirty gestational week, the Sm of RV in PIH higher than normal fetus and the Sm of LV, IVS were decreased although the difference had no significance (P>0.05). In<30 gestational week, the Sm of LV, RV, IVS in PIH were decreased compared with normal fetus and the difference had significance (P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with normal pregnancy, heart diastolic function in PIH fetuses were impaired with≥thirty gestational weeks. Right ventricular systolic function was increased and left ventricular systolic function was decreased although the difference had no significance. Fetal heart systolic and diastolic function were impaired in PIH with <thirty gestational weeks.
