With the popularity of J2EE and open-source software, J2EE software has been widely used in areas like e-business, web education, SNS etc. The Web Based Learning System for Adults, developed by Institute of Cyber Education Technology of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, is based on J2EE related technologies. Aiming to support convenient interaction, the system focuses on excellent user experience and short waiting time. This thesis sums up the optimization experiences used in the system. According to existing optimization schemes and the websites’ interaction feature, a wait-point based optimization means is put forward. Based on this means, Web-Tracker, a performance monitor, is presented. And a complete solution to the optimization of J2EE related application is proposed.In the first part of the thesis, basal theories are introduced, including performance’s definition and common arguments, J2EE performance optimization’s basic elements and procedure. Then, a wait-point based optimization manner and its implementation procedure are proposed. As the manner needs performance data of wait point, track injection, which is the key point to this issue, is presented. After that, the focal point of this thesis, the whole procedure, which consists of Web-Tracker’s general design, detailed design, and implementation, is discussed. Finally, taking Web Based Learning System for Adults as an example, the usage of Web-Tracker in looking for the performance choke point is introduced, and a complete scheme to the optimization of J2EE related application is proposed.
