Abstract

Objective: Endoscopic thyroidectomy with conventional surgery clinical comparative analysis to investigate the feasibility, safety and advantages of endoscopic thyroid surgery . Methods : 411 cases admitted to our hospital were collected from July 2008 to August 2010 line of thyroid resection patients with benign disease , including 192 cases of laparoscopic surgery (both Xiongru approach ) , conventional surgery 219 cases . The two groups were compared operative time , blood loss, postoperative drainage , hospital stay , cost of hospitalization , postoperative pain scores . Results: laparoscopy group blood loss ( 24.6 ± 12.6 ) ml compared to the conventional group ( 36.9 ± 10.4 ) ml significantly reduced hospital stay (5.2 ± 2.3) d compared with conventional group (7.3 ± 2.8) d shorten postoperative cavity Lens hospitalization costs (8171.9 ± 1261.9) than the conventional group (7492.5 ± 1262.3) , laparoscopy group was satisfied by 182 cases , 94.8 % satisfaction , while the conventional group felt satisfied by the 24 cases of satisfaction only 11%. Conclusion: The endoscopic thyroid surgery blood loss , shorter hospital stay and quick recovery , good cosmetic results , is a safe, effective and feasible surgical method .
