EPC Contracting Mode requires the general contractor take the design, purchase andbuilding of the whole construction according to the contract, which is commonly called keydeliveredproject as the international community. EPC general contractor model constructionhas become a mainstream mode of foreign countries, China’s first long-distance pipelineconstruction EPC general contractor model used in the western oil products pipelineproject,with the higher level of long distance pipeline construction, EPC Mode has becomethe mainstream of construction control at home and abroad.This paper describes the background of the subject topics, EPC general contractor modelin the development of the status quo at home and abroad,and elaboratesthe purpose andsignificance of the research, briefly explains the EPC model, analysis of the use of EPC forthe long-distance pipeline construction requirements, introduces the current constructionmanagement status of long-distance pipeline in China and analyzes the present problems oflong-distance pipeline construction management under the EPC model. In this paper, theorywith practice and research methods, combined with the West-EastⅡGas Pipeline project,Se-Ning-Lan double pipeline project etc. management status, The article discusses the longdistancepipeline construction management from five aspects, which is the progress ofcontract, HSE, plans, cost and quality management. It’s the research priorities, and changethe concept of long-distance pipeline construction ,to enhance information management, toadjust the existing organizational structure, training requirements to meet the EPC modelcompound talents and Establish and improve the control system analysis of the five aspectsEPC model in long-distance pipeline construction management to guarantee the smoothrealization of the measures.Finally, the article provides a brief summary.
