Objective : With the intramedullary nail technology improvement and development of species can be divided into standard intramedullary nail nails, flexible intramedullary nails and intramedullary nail ( ie, self-locking intramedullary nail ) . Intramedullary nail than the former two have a greater advantage , the purpose of this research project is to dynamic compression plate and intramedullary nail as a comparison group , recalled comparative analysis of two fixation methods for the treatment of tibial fractures efficacy , and thus provide the basis for clinical evaluation . Methods : A retrospective analysis of our hospital since 2005, selected 126 cases of tibial fracture patients ( or with fibula fracture ) , are closed fresh fractures were divided into two groups with comparable , of which 59 patients were treated with intramedullary nailing , 67 cases of application of dynamic compression plate fixation were compared treatment outcomes . Results: JOHNER-WRUHS scoring criteria [ 1 ] evaluate the efficacy , where excellent intramedullary nail group was 93.22% , while the fine plate group was only 76.12% , both of which have significant gaps. In infections , intramedullary nail group without infection , dynamic compression plate group had superficial infection of the cases . In the healing time , all patients were followed up at 6 to 24 months within the intramedullary nail group than the plate group . Operative time and blood loss aspect intramedullary nail group than steel group . Postoperative functional recovery , intramedullary nail group than the plate group . Conclusion: intramedullary nail and plate is the treatment of tibial fractures commonly used method , were used in two ways intramedullary and extramedullary fixation, clinical aspects with good results , the two groups were no obvious infection, nonunion or delayed healing situation. In the comprehensive assessment , the intramedullary nail in terms of treatment time, amount of bleeding , healing , anti-inflammatory and postoperative recovery was stronger than dynamic compression plate group . Plate group because of its operation is simple , low cost of treatment , to adapt to a wide range of features can be added as an intramedullary nail in the treatment of treatment programs should be based on the clinical treatment of intramedullary nailing of tibial fractures as a first choice.
