Time-varying structure is the structural dynamics of cutting-edge issues , especially the inverse problem ( variable structure modal parameter identification problem ) , is still immature . On the basis of large flexible space structures , high-speed aircraft and high-speed train project there is an urgent need for change in the system summarizes the structural modal parameter identification research status , the main research Hilbert-Huang transform ( HHT ) two new time-frequency analysis in the time-varying modal parameter identification and local mean decomposition ( LMD ) . The main contents and conclusions are as follows : 1. Systematic review of the time-varying structural modal parameter identification methods and research progress outlined time-frequency analysis commonly used when the frequency conversion tools and their time-varying structural modal parameter identification applications to explore the the HHT the development , application and LMD application prospects ; 2 briefly introduces the basic definition of the Hilbert transform and instantaneous frequency , briefly intrinsic mode functions ( IMF ) , empirical mode decomposition ( EMD ) , Hilbert spectrum decomposition performance , Hilbert marginal spectrum concept , and EMD , change filtering decomposition ( ATVFD ) adaptive and extreme range mean mode decomposition ( EMMD ) were compared. LMD basic principles and methods to compare the the LMD , EMD advantages and disadvantages . The case study shows that LMD extract multi-component AM - instantaneous amplitude and instantaneous frequency of the FM signal HHT has obvious advantages ; proposed two new methods of identification based on HHT and LMD variable structure modal parameters . In a single stage extraction structure transient response component of good performance of these two methods for time-varying single degree of freedom structure and time-varying multi - degree - of - freedom structural modal parameter identification based on EMD and LMD . Simulation shows that the proposed method is simple , with good recognition accuracy and LMD than HHT effect ; to design an adjustable additional mass and stiffness of the cantilever beam test device , based on the proposed method , the use of the test to get beam quality continuous changes in the stiffness continuously changing and the stiffness rapidly changing the free vibration response of the three cases to identify the modal parameters , and compare the results of the modal parameters of the beam and finite element analysis with the specified state to verify the proposed method effectiveness , practicality , and the superiority of the LMD .
