Abstract


Objective:To study tthe clinical features of Type II diabetes patients with Chronic Total Occlusion and prognostic study and intervention Methords:A total of 278 patients with coronary heart disease were divided into two groups:137 diabetic patients with Chronic Total Occlusion (DM-CTO group) and 144 non-diabetic patients with Chronic Total Occlusion(NDM-CTO group).The clinical features and outcomes after percutaneous coronary stenting were analyzed.Results:Compared with NDM-CTO group, DM patients had more risk factors:hypertension and serum triglyceride abnormalities,In the pathological changes of coronary artery, the rates of branches coronary artery lesions in DM group were significantly different from those in controls (P< 0.01). Follow-up rate was similar between the two groups.Compared with NDM-CTO group,the rate of in-stent restenosis and revascularization were obviously higher in DM-CTO group (P<0.05);the rates of major adverse cardiac events and total mortality were similarbetween two groups. Conclusion:The clinical and angiographical characteristics and prognosis are significantly different between the two groups,Chronic Total Occlusion patients with diabetic mellitus lesion are severe,after percutaneous coronary stenting haveideal long-term outcomes,but the rates of in-stent restenosis and revascularization are higher.
