Objective: To compare the elderly and non- elderly patients with acute pulmonary embolism risk factors , symptoms, signs and related inspection, in order to understand the elderly and non- elderly patients with acute pulmonary embolism different characteristics . Methods: December 2009 - December 2010 in our hospital and diagnosed with acute pulmonary embolism in patients hospitalized a total of 66 cases . The patients were divided into age groups (≥ 60 years ) with non-elderly group (lt; 60 years old ) , compared two groups of risk factors , symptoms, signs and test results related to the similarities and differences . Results: The risk factors of deep venous thrombosis in the elderly group and the non-elderly group are the most important risk factors, but no significant difference between the two groups , (P gt; 0.05), the risk factors in elderly patients bedridden brake gt; 3天common than non- elderly group , compared with non- obese elderly rare, it has significant difference , (P lt; 0.05), I was no significant difference in risk factors ; older group is often associated with heart and lung diseases such as systems based which coronary heart disease than non- elderly group common , it has significant difference , (P lt; 0.05), other underlying diseases showed no statistically significant difference ; elderly group signs of chest X-ray in pulmonary hypertension than non- elderly group rare, its there are statistically significant differences (P lt; 0.05); elderly group ECG sinus tachycardia rare than non- elderly group , the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05); compare two D-dimer and blood gas analysis no significant difference . Conclusion: the incidence of pulmonary embolism in elderly is a risk factor , the elderly and non- elderly patients with acute pulmonary embolism common risk factors , underlying diseases , clinical features vary.
