Performance Management (PM) is the core of corporation management. Hunan Tiandi Seeds Corporation Ltd., (HTSC), a great seeds corporation engaged in research, manufacture, sales and services of seeds, has great demand for a standardized, effective and operative performance management program so as to compete with the opponents from home and abroad and to realize the strategic goals, which is the background of the study.The thesis , based on the literature review on performance management home and abroad, makes an analysis and diagnosis on the performance management of HTSC by applying expert discussion, interview and questionnaire, and finds out the main problems in HTSC and offers suggestions for improvement. The key performance Indexes (KPI), which consist of the index system of the performance management of HTSC, are worked out by taking into comprehensive account of the strategic goal, industry features, management status and personnel background. On the basis of the KPI, the PM procedure program and the PM ensurance program are designed. Such a standardized, systematic and operative PM program is anticipated to help carry out the corporation strategies through PM, to optimize the management and to accelerate the sustainable development of HTSC, and also to provide reference for other corporations in seed industry.
