Abstract


Local topography is an old subject,for it has a long period of two thousand years or so.It belongs to the branch of History.It had formed a system of mature compilation method and security.Form Wei-Jin Dynasty, some scholars began to study the original of Local Records,the nature of Local Records,the function ofLocal Records and so on.Thus the preliminary system theory of Local Records formed gradually. Also Local Records is a new subject,for scholars in modern time study Local Records in new ways that differ to the previous scholars.With the development of times,the studying has took on a new look,and the theory of Local Records has enriched gradually.After the foundation of the Chinese Republic of China,the center government and each local government have paid much attention to the compilation of Local Records .On one hand ,governments asked scholars to comply and publish old Local Records.On the other hand ,scholars began to comply new Local Records,which has achieved much progress.With the development of Local Records, the compilation of Local Records has developed quickly, also the theory of Local topography has grown rapidly. Some excellent scholars have been absorbing the research of the previous,go on enriching the theory of Local topography and trying to build the whole subject system of Local topography.Local Records is pretty wealthy to us.The rich and value information of Local Records worth us studying deeply. The passage is to expound the theory system of Local topography,analysis the development and value of Local topography.At last,the author analysised the problems that appeared in Local topography ,and gave some sollutions to them.
