Abstract


Objective : Uterine sarcoma is a rare cancer of the uterus . Due to lack of satisfactory tumor marker for preoperative diagnosis of uterine sarcoma , which is often misdiagnosed as benign uterine diseases such as uterine fibroids or uterine fibroids, uterine sarcoma to the standardization of treatment difficult . Known malignancies associated with systemic inflammatory changes , thereby causing blood composition changes . This paper aims uterine sarcoma and control groups in the preoperative blood components change statistical analysis to explore neutrophil / lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in the preoperative diagnosis of uterine sarcoma application value . Methods: First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University gynecological ward in September 2003 - September 2010 period diagnosed uterine sarcoma , uterine fibroids and uterine adenomyosis cases. Into the group after strict screening criteria , select group of patients into the study group uterine sarcoma group of 23 patients in the control group 49 patients with uterine fibroids , uterine adenomyosis group of 38 patients in each group by preoperative blood components and NLR compare explore the values ??in the preoperative diagnosis of uterine sarcoma capabilities and analyze this ratio at various stages , different pathological types of diagnostic capabilities and the relationship between age and this ratio . Results : Compared with the control group , the study group 's white blood cell count , eosinophil count , basophil count, platelet count leaching , lymphocyte count , mononuclear cell count change was not statistically significant (p gt; 0.01 ) , neutrophil count and elevated NLR , statistical significance was significantly (p lt; 0.01). Found on the ROC curve white blood cell count , neutrophil count , NLR diagnosed with uterine sarcoma associated (p lt; 0.01). Although changes in lymphocytes between groups was not statistically significant , but its diagnostic capabilities acceptable (AUC 0.82). NLR in diagnostic sensitivity is less than the white blood cell count and neutrophil count , but the specificity is best ( when Cut-off of 4.24 , the sensitivity was 60.9 %, specificity 98.9% ) . Conclusion : NLR correlated with uterine sarcoma , can serve as a preoperative diagnostic indicators , the ratio 4.24 can be used as diagnostic cut-off values.
