Abstract


The subject is a grammatical concept we are familiar, is an important topic of study of the language. Despite similarities in the English subject and subject in Chinese, they have their own characteristics, the English and Chinese Subjects contrast to become a very challenging research topic. Many grammarians and linguists from different perspectives to this inquiry, but also made a lot of achievements. Will be the basis of existing research on the similarities and differences between English and Chinese Subjects system contrast, and tried to use contemporary linguistic theory to explain the factors that caused the English and Chinese Subjects similarities and differences and the impact of the actual use of the elements of the subject in English and Chinese. The study found that the English verb-oriented structure in most English subject of a sentence is the essential ingredient, if the predicate is not semantic subject, you must use the \form. Agentive in English and Chinese are typical of the subject, however, necessary structural component of the subject is not a small clause in Chinese, Chinese Predicate relations more complicated, because the various forms of Chinese predicate. This paper argues that the different mode of thinking of the English and Chinese is the main reason for the diversity of English and Chinese Subjects. The text is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is an introduction, Chapter II to Chapter IV is the main part, the fifth chapter is the conclusion. The first chapter mediated current situation at home and abroad on the subject of the study, the purpose and the existence of the problem, and the structure of this paper made a presentation. Chapter II from the perspective of vocabulary, structure and semantics of English and Chinese Subjects made a total contrast. This chapter can act as the subject of the parts of speech, sentence structure, subject semantic role verb relations and Chinese and English voice on the subject of the requirements of the similarities and differences between English and Chinese Subjects discussed. Third from the pragmatic point of view of the English and Chinese Subjects were compared. This chapter first introduces groups Pragmatic studies on the basic concept: the topic (theme) and Description (state title), theme and rheme, well known and new information, followed by analysis of the topic and the subject, Thematic The subject of the relationship between English and Chinese Subjects were compared.
