Henan is one of important provinces in agricultural production and population. It has a long history in vegetable’s cultivation, and vegetable is one of its important agricultural products. The vegetable production in Henan has developed quickly, and its area and output has increased rapidly, since the policy of reform and opening and the project of“the shopping basket”were carried out, especially since 1992. Now, its sown area has amounted to 1,600,000 hectare. And Henan has become the second big province in china in its sown area. And vegetable cultivation becomes the first big industrial crops besides grain cultivation.The demands to vegetable quality are becoming higher, more healthful and more diversity, as people is paying more attention to food safety, and as their living standards enhances gradually. The new contents and challenges have occurred since our country entered into WTO. These are the questions of vegetable productions’qualities. Therefore, the research on vegetable standardization and its implementation has become very important. It is helpful to improve vegetable production quality, to enhance its market competitiveness, to promote agriculture and the rural economy development. The paper analyzes conditions and the policies about vegetable standardization promotion implementation in Henan Province on the basic theories of competitive advantages, economics, agronomy, marketing, vegetables commodity economics, trade economics. The paper analyzes these problems by using the method of qualitative analysis, and on the base of collecting the massive correlation data.
