Abstract


The Soviet Union plays an important role in the history of modern China. Soviet image in the history of Chinese literature also has been shown changeable colorful appearances (with the history changeable). As a Chinese contemporary writer and social activist, who also has a strong "Russia complex", WangMeng’s special status made him construct general and special images of Soviet under the influence of collective imagination of Soviet. He became a speaker and advocator on Chinese construction of the collective imagination about Soviet. While the complex images of Soviet, like a mirror, reflects imagination and desire of WangMeng and other Chinese people."The Soviet zaysbais " collects traveling prose, diaries,memories and random thoughts caused by all that he saw and heard about his journey at Soviet after 20 years, in which involving very abundant materials of Soviet. From the angle of study of images, any foreign description is a kind of cultural imagination, so Wangmeng’s travel notes are exactly the production of "imagination".This paper mainly uses the method and theory of studies of image of comparative literature to comb Soviet image in the vision of WangMeng, and to analyze Wang Meng’s description and construction of the other and have self-examination at the same time. WangMeng portrays a series of images on Russian literature, art, the Soviet city and people, while the construction of Soviet image are influenced by the Soviet collective complex of generations of Chinese intellectuals, which has formed a kind of the social collective imagination. However, WangMeng’s personal experience, literary creation, spirit and temperament influence his descriptions of the uniqueness of Soviet image. And WangWeng, as a constructor of Soviet image, expresses himself and reflects his own culture through Soviet image, which provides valuable reference for us to review the spirit and creation of Wang Meng.
