PROFIBUS is Type 3 of international standard IEC61158 and China standard. So PROFIBUS is one of the most popular fieldbuses currently with its authority. And among these, as an optimized high speed transmission PROFIBUS-DP is widely applied. At present, the applications and researches on PROFIBUS-DP in our country are mainly the whole set of equipments produced by SIEMENS and so on, while PROFIBUS-DP system developed and researched independently is very few. In order to improve the independence research abailty, this thesis researches on PROFIBUS-DP typical application system.Starting from the configuration of PROFIBUS-DP protocol, this thesis expounded the communication process of master and slave stations and explained the message in detail. According to the research of PROFIBUS-DP real-time character, this thesis figured out the real-time response time, which guaranteed the system to meet the requirement of real-time character. This thesis also analyses and compares the project of PROFIBUS-DP system construction. By the requirements of laboratory, this thesis choosed CP5611 and computer as master, and adopted ASIC SPC3 to design slave station. Based on the theory analysis, this thesis designed 8 ways discrete in-out slave station and 4 ways A/D and 2 ways D/A slave station by using C8051F020 and ASIC SPC3. After that, this thesis edited GSD of slave stations and constructed the whole Profibu-DP system by SIMATIC NET software. At last, the communication result was tested by monitoring messages, which reflected the process of communication specifically.The slave stations designed in this paper includ the function of digital and analog data input and output. It can be widely used in industry control field for its stable performance and credibility. The master adopted is cheap but can implement the whole function of PROFIBUS-DP. The PROFIBUS-DP master-slave system consist of the two has the representative value of appliance, and it applys to various domains of automation control.
