To promote basic education curriculum reform in the country , the editing and publishing of textbooks in China outshines development from the past to the present the colorful contests . A construction of language teaching materials from the past one outline into a plan with many from the technology , to diversify . Diversified construction of language teaching materials on the road , we can not work behind closed doors , should be compared with a lot of developed countries textbook construction , draw . PEP language textbooks and language \In this paper, a comparative study of language textbooks from the two sets of design ideas with the internal structure of the system . Discover the similarities and differences of each other , I found two sets of language textbooks in the design ideas , under the guidance of the postmodern curriculum theory , are based on the pursuit of the development of human personality as the goal , the textbooks are in development for value orientation , the layout of the textbooks are in line with the student 's cognitive rules ; However, due to differences in the psychological and cultural aspects of China and the United States , there is a huge difference both . First of all, depending on the preparation of both . Secondly , the different cultural connotations selected text . Respectively from the two sets of textbooks selected text system , practical system , and the system of the reader to do a comparative analysis .
