Abstract


The 21st century , the beginning of the post-PC era , 3C a large number of products into the people 's production and life . As the product industrialization mainstream technology , embedded technology to specific application center, combined with computer technology and communications technology to become the focus of research and development , and its products are mostly in the form of non-computer , throughout all aspects , including : avionics , automotive electronics , consumer electronics and home electronics ; according to the application requirements of the target system at the same time , miniaturization, networking and high - cost trend has become increasingly significant . This thesis mainly analyzes the characteristics of embedded systems application development , an overview of the development process and the challenges facing ; elaborate Embedded Linux , and ARM development process and application prospects . And for GPRS module features , in -depth analysis of the GPRS protocol based on the GPRS communication system design based on ARM embedded Linux platform , embedded technology , conduct research and development for GPRS the system features a Linux system kernel cutting the feasibility of the implementation of the program , and some key technologies useful for Research and Exploration .
