Abstract


Since the second half of 2004 , the international dry bulk shipping prices are rising , the international dry bulk shipping business is flourishing . Baltic Dry Freight Index (BDI), the reaction of the international dry bulk shipping prices until early 2008 rose to nearly 12,000 from more than 3,000 points in 2004 , along the way . The Baltic Freight Index (BDI) since April 2008 as the financial crisis caused by the subprime mortgage crisis continued to spread all the way down , the minimum fell more than 600 points . International dry bulk freight rates fell sharply , resulting in dry bulk freight rates have been lower than average operating costs of the international dry bulk shipping companies . Causing many shipping companies to take dry bulk vessels outage suspended loss reduction measures in order to reduce the loss . Dalian Taijia Shipping Limited since 2002 to enter the international dry bulk market , after the initial rapid expansion phase was completed in 2005 , the international dry bulk shipping market is a 3-year period of prosperity . Today , the external environment of the market has changed dramatically , and how to adapt to changes in the external environment , to develop what competitive strategy is the purpose of this research . In this paper, based on market research , industrial structure is investigated through the analysis of a company in which the macro environment , as well as the five forces model to analyze the opportunities and threats faced by the enterprise . While conducting analysis of the external environment , but also on the resources and capabilities of the company and competitors do compared to clear the strengths and weaknesses of the company 's four strategic path SWOT matrix . Finally, after the analysis of the external environment and internal factors that the company should choose the conclusion of the cost leadership strategy . In order to ensure that the strategy for the smooth implementation of this article is not only given the specific content of the strategy , the key issues of the implementation of the strategy and safeguards .
