Abstract


Since the 1970s oil price shocks , resulting in very significant decline in economic growth rate , economists recognize that energy and labor , has a very important role in the economy plays ! China introduced the reform and opening up policy was introduced in 1978 and since then , more and more energy consumption , especially in 2003 after the economic growth model to high energy input , energy consumption growth rate is very large . Energy performance of both energy consumption and energy efficiency , to better promote the economic growth of the energy contribution to economic growth , on the need to study the relationship between these two aspects and economic growth ( including qualitative and quantitative ) , Unfortunately many studies to date have only to study the relationship of energy consumption and economic growth , and economic growth of the energy efficiency improvements will have an important impact ignored . In this paper, this perspective is the starting point to study the relationship between them three . Part of theoretical research , this article assumes that technological progress is reflected in improvements in the energy efficiency and energy efficiency to meet the accumulation of knowledge of \. Empirical research, past use of qualitative or quantitative methods , the paper uses vector autoregressive method , by constructing the VAR model and cointegration tests , found that long-term stable equilibrium relationship between energy efficiency and energy consumption and economic growth through the creation of the cointegration model the marginal contribution of energy efficiency and energy consumption to economic growth , the use of the impulse response function analysis found that energy efficiency and energy consumption has a role in boosting economic growth , more durable and energy efficiency . Using a similar method , this paper also studies the relationship between energy efficiency and its influencing factors , research expenditures , the tertiary industry have a positive impact on the improvement of energy efficiency , and the impact of research expenditures have persistent , coal consumption have a negative impact on the improvement of energy efficiency .
