Abstract

Fire scene design is a key step in performance-based fire protection design and fire risk assessment . Complete fire scene should be a static and dynamic scenes of the continuum , the existing buildings , combustible static structure and distribution , flame propagation , the dynamic characteristics of the flue gas moving fire growth and spread , both visual geometry image expression , should also include the distribution of the material , the combustion characteristics and the spread of fire development process of physical , chemical , and other parameters change . Reasonable fire scene described the the typical fire within the fire space development . Set fire source described the the typical fire within the fire space development and to provide the necessary data input parameters for fire risk assessment . Descriptive set fire source dependent parameters, such as the number of combustible materials , the spatial dimensions and smoke ventilation conditions . Combustible material distribution , lighted uncertainty parameters can consider the the fire probability statistics . This paper first introduces the development and spread of characteristics on fire , and then analyze the fire broke out mechanism , and in accordance with the basic principles and methods set fire scene , the theoretical basis for performance-based fire design , design detailed discussion and analysis of building fire scene , consider the fire surrounding environment , including: the size of the fire inside the space in the building , the distribution of combustibles and fire load , exhaust ventilation conditions . By the above analysis based on similarity theory , of π 's law as well as dimensional analysis , combined with experimental data obtained corresponding to a function of the status of the fire scene description , control parameters will further affect the fire development , to flue mobile and evacuation , thus completing the performance of the entire building fire risk assessment or fire design .
