Abstract


Objective: To investigate the parenting style, social support characteristics of male juvenile offenders ; Methods: General Information Questionnaire , the living conditions of the questionnaire , parenting rating scale , as well as social support scale of 132 male correctional crime juvenile offenders adolescents and 128 ordinary high school boys in the school questionnaire , chi-square test and t-test of the survey results were statistically analyzed by SPSS18.0 statistical software ; results : Male juvenile crime group compared with the normal control group , the parents divorce rate childhood with parents' separation ratio (the parents of non-primary dependents ) , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.01 ) . The two sets of differences in parenting by Rating Scale total of 11 factors , social support scale factor 4 aspects are statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) , prompted the former parents in severe punishment , excessive interference , preference is trial , refused to deny and overly protective factor average are higher than the latter , and warmth, understanding the factors average lower than the latter ; total social support , subjective support , objective support , and support the utilization factor score were significantly lower than the latter . Group of male juvenile delinquents minorities , Han comparison of the two scales , only the mother preference test factor minority mothers score higher than Chinese mothers , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) , while in the remaining 14 item factor dimensions were not statistically significant (P gt; 0.05); Conclusion: compared with ordinary normal male adolescents , criminal male adolescents parents treat their children to a lack of warmth and understanding , excessive use of severe punishment , refused to deny that other means subjective and objective social support and juvenile delinquents , the utilization of support was significantly weaker than normal adolescents . Therefore parenting adverse ways , poor social support is the main risk factors that lead to juvenile delinquency .
