Abstract

Objective: microleakage result in root canal therapy reason for the failure, thus requiring tight seal is formed between the filling material and the root canal wall, which is a challenge for the gutta-percha. Resin matrix Resilon / Epiphany Self-Etch is a new filling materials, theory, it is a chemical bond is formed between the root canal wall, the formation of an integrated filling can be reduced microleakage. Resilon / Epiphany SE root canal filled teeth in vitro In this study, gutta-percha / AH Plus, dye leakage, serial sections and demineralization methods were compared filling material the apical sealing performance differences between the new apical sealing of root canal filling material Resilon / Epiphany SE performance evaluation, to provide a theoretical basis for clinical ideal root canal filling material. Materials and Methods: 36 due to periodontal disease or orthodontic treatment need to unplug from the mandibular premolars. 6 as a positive and negative control group, 30 as the experimental group (gutta-percha / AH Plus group of 16 teeth, Resilon / Epiphany SE group of 14 teeth), root canal to the same standards, with Resilon / Epiphany SE and teeth the glue / AH plus filling the root canal, the image quality of the X-ray dental film evaluation of the two materials root canal filling, and then the teeth immersed in India ink staining, the use of hard tissue slicer teeth in the apical horizontal cross-sectional serial sections under the microscope observation and record each slice dye leakage, and observed under a scanning electron microscope closed and adhesion of the material, and then slice with nitric acid decalcification, two kinds of filling materials and dentin was observed under a scanning electron microscope bonding, filling material were compared between the apical sealing performance differences. Results: 1. Filling material buccolingual X-ray evaluation were higher than near COSCO buccolingual X-ray observation of two filling material (P lt; 0.05), there was no difference (P gt; 0.05), the near and far to the x-ray observation Resilon / Epiphany SE group root canal image quality is better than gutta-percha / AH Plus group (P lt; 0.05) Resilon / Epiphany SE in closed agent Epiphany SE formed the resin dentin suddenly and core filling material Resilon closely bonded, form an integrated structure (mono-block), compared with the gutta-percha filling material Resilon / Epiphany SE group has The lower leakage (P lt; 0.05). Gutta-percha filling material and dentin the obvious fissures, and showed a high leakage. Conclusion: The results of this study show Resilon / Epiphany SE filling system has a good X-ray radiopacity, is conducive to the root canal filling effect was observed by X-ray. The results of this study show the closed agent Epiphany SE core filling material Resilon and root canal within the structure of a chemical bond to form an integrated structure, and apical sealing ability of Resilon / Epiphany SE filling system is superior to traditional gutta-percha filling material . This study only from microleakage evaluation Resilon / Epiphany SE filling system, still need to do on Resilon / Epiphany SE filling system performance further evaluation to confirm the new filling system can replace the gutta-percha filling material.
