Abstract


The status quo of the purpose of the participation of residents in the Yunnan Province town community AIDS prevention work, found the residents to participate in the AIDS prevention problems and deficiencies, and to explore effective measures to promote residents to participate in community-based AIDS prevention activities in the further development of community-based AIDS anti system work provides a viable strategy and decision-making basis. Method epidemiological status of investigation, using quantitative structured questionnaire survey (community residents) combined with qualitative in-depth personal interviews (AIDS Prevention, departmental managers, staff), respectively, network support from the community, the community can take advantage of the several major aspects of the resources, the provision of AIDS prevention information, residents in decision-making opportunities to understand the current situation of the towns residents to participate in community AIDS prevention. The results and findings of strong residential community identity, but the community is yet to establish a multi-level exchanges between network; foreign accounts of residents of community identity was significantly lower than the local residents; higher degree of recognition of the low-income community. The provision of community-based AIDS prevention information: Residents' evaluation of community-based AIDS prevention activities in the high demand of different residents AIDS promotional materials have significant differences (p <0.05); the residents lack decision-making opportunities, mobilization and perform sexual involvement residents main forms; community residents to participate in AIDS prevention and control of AIDS control objective understanding psychological recognized, but the actual participation rate is not high. Occupation of the residents recognize the community number, the degree of help from the community to help the understanding of AIDS education activities, awareness of AIDS education activities satisfaction, understanding of AIDS awareness of the need residents' awareness of the AIDS education activities help of AIDS education Activities satisfaction and understand AIDS awareness of the need affect whether residents are involved in AIDS prevention and control activities. Countermeasures and suggestions to improve the network of community support: create a good community support environment, and enhance community cohesion; emphasis on the power of the foreign residence, \Development community mobilization of all available resources: included in the local budget, and take the initiative to open up sources of funding; stable community team to strengthen the management of human resources; build a pattern of AIDS Prevention, \Government multisectoral introduction of responsibility assessment mechanisms involved in AIDS prevention work; to choose reasonable missionary time; relying on civil society organizations and projects, seeking funding, resources and sustainable development for the Community AIDS Prevention. To enhance the dissemination of information and communication: through participatory needs assessment, from an ethical point of view to develop AIDS publicity materials suitable for different groups of people, to meet the real needs of the residents; fully tap the local ethnic groups and cultural resources, and AIDS knowledge to residents loved publicity, publicity; explore AIDS prevention, to guide residents to look squarely AIDS and infections, care for and help people with AIDS, a good community and human environment.
