Abstract


Descriptive words not only belong to the category of linguistic research , modern Western philosophy of language is an important research topic . The theory of the creation of the main purpose is to reveal differences between the syntax of the language surface form of its inherent logical form , clean up the chaos of everyday language to philosophy , fundamental to avoid some otherwise unnecessary controversy , and thus help to solve philosophical questions . Many philosophers , logicians varying degrees of concern and research on this question . Russell as one of the most important figures in the history of philosophy, the first comprehensive and systematic Definite Descriptions discussed complete Description Theory . The theory has been proposed , it caused a huge impact in the academic community , and in the subsequent history of the development of both affirmed and praised by many linguists , known as \Description Theory , so it in the parties of continuous development . The main body of Russell Description Theory is the core problem , and discuss three aspects : First of all, the history of the Theory of Description and academic background . Three difficult in the history of this part of the Description Theory and academic background , technical reserves detailed analysis , including : the turn of the 20th century Western philosophical studies \; Mill and Frege descriptive words before Russell made ??. Secondly, as a model of \In this section elaborates the basic content of Russell 's Description Theory ; discusses the theory is how to solve the long-term existence of the history of philosophy, the three difficult ; analysis of the achievements in the theory and the problems .
