Moyan is an important writer in Chinese literature during the contemporary. The research on Moyan from the literatus is focused on the ugly style, magic color, region features, narrative skills of the fictions. On the color image of the studies are still not detailed enough. During Mo Yan’s fictions creative times, The use of color imagery is the most prominent feature and it is one of the technique of expressions. It not only enriches the artistic expression of the articles, but also make his fictions unique. This artile use the perusal method, start with the usage of colors, analyze and probe the usage of color words, the function of colored imagery, the reason why writers choose to use color imagery.This paper is divided into six main chapters to be discussed:partⅠ, makes a brief explanation for Moyan’s creative experience, the generation, development, evolution of his literary works image, as well as the current situation of research on the color imagery of Mo Yan’s fictions.PartⅡ, mainly classifies the color descriptions of the Mo Yan’s fictions, pay close attention on descriptions of the characters, the characters psychology, and environment description by colors, and make a brief analyze on the features of the usage of color words in Moyan’s fictions.PartⅢ, mainly distinguishes the color imageries in Moyan’s fictions from color categories such as a red imagery group, green imagery group, and a variety of superimposed color imageries. While classified, inspected the hint effect of color psychology from a modern point of view of color psychology, combined with the articles, analysis the functions of color and the theme of Mo Yan’s fictions.PartⅣ, throught analysises and compares the traditional colors and the color imagery in Mo Yan’s fictions, mainly illuminates that color imagery in Moyan’s fictions inherited and surpassed traditional colors taste styles, which showed the unique feature of color imagery in Mo Yan’s fiction.PartⅤ, mainly researches the reason why Mo Yan’s trend the color imagery. This chapter discusses in three aspects:Mo Yan’s childhood life experience, traditional color thoughts and the influence of color folk, the influence of Latin American magic realism.Part VI concludes the overall ivew of the color imagery in Mo Yan’s fiction and that "imagery" has a the unique meaning in the fictions.
